A Lunch Time "Roll" Model

The cafeteria can be a busy and loud environment when students are coming and going during lunchtime.  We wanted to recognize students that consistently show great manners and uphold our expectations.  Recently, the firstie in the middle was nominated as a cafeteria "roll" model!

When chosen, the "roll" model can invite two friends to dine with him/her for the day.  They sit at a fancy round table with a tablecloth, centerpiece and real silverware!  Pretty neat.  Thanks for remembering your manners and cheers to you!

Lighthouse Meeting

This friend from our classroom was recognized for her "bucket filling" ways during our last Lighthouse Meeting.

Our Lighthouse Meetings are for K-2 students.  We focus on our current pillar word (respect, responsibility, kindness, courage or perseverance).  Usually a story is shared with the students, followed by a discussion of how the story relates to their lives.

Congratulations friend and keep it up!

Happy Halloween!

We had a great time parading around, eating lots of food while listening to some ghoulish music!
I huge thank you to everyone that contributed in some way to the party---food, drink, paper products, goodie bags, pouring apple cider!  Your generosity is appreciated!  The students were very excited to take home a bag full of goodies.  They probably didn't even need to go out trick-or-treating!
